Earn Karma Cards until August 15^th. They automatically give you 15% off at Dillard’s and a chance to win thousands of dollars in gift cards to The Summit. What kinds of kind get you a Karma Card?

VOLUNTEER: Each hour of volunteer work with our participating non-profit partners will get you a Karma Card. The more hours you put in, the more chances you have to win the Grand Prize. But most importantly, the more hours you put in, the more you are helping people in our community. Here are our non-profit partners: American Heart Association; CARE Chest of Sierra Nevada; Food Bank of Northern Nevada; Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation; Nevada Museum of Art; Nevada Women’s Fund; Salvation Army; Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals; and United Blood Services.

MAN ON THE STREET: We’ll have a KIYC Man On The Street camera crew around town and at community events. He’ll be challenging people to perform acts of kindness in exchange for Karma Cards. Check our Events Calendar and/or follow us on Twitter to see where he’ll be.

RANDOM ACTS: Our Kindness Crew could be anywhere around town, armed with Karma Cards, at any time rewarding people for random acts of kindness. So, be kind. It could pay off with a few types of karma now.

VIDEO OF THE WEEK: Each week we’ll pick a winning video that’s been uploaded to KindnessIsYourCurrency.com. Whoever uploaded it will get 10 Karma Cards. The video could be you or someone else doing something kind, or it could just be a fun way to make people smile or feel good. Be creative.

NOMINATIONS: You can nominate a friend, neighbor, family member, acquaintance or stranger who deserves to be rewarded for their kindness. Do that by blogging or uploading a video.
