Congratulations to the grand prize winners of the Karma Card Drawing! The winners received gift cards to The Summit. Let's hear a round of applause for Carla Bee who won the $3,000 grand prize gift card, Maria Pabico and Jessie Turner for the $1,000 gift cards, and Rose Marie Ham and Taylor Reed who each walked away with a $500 gift card to The Summit. Now that's a way to be rewarded.

A day of kindness...

Thank you to everyone who participated in Kindness Day! It was a great way to spread a little more kindness in our community. Kindness Day was filled with local area non-profits spreading the word of how the community can continue to be kind and volunteer, The Summit Arts Festival and more Karma Cards were passed to those who participated in the day of fun.

Come to The Summit Saturday, August 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for another opportunity to be kind while enjoying The Summit Art Festival. Area non-profits will offer guests information about their organization and a chance to get involved. Take a look at all the great ways you can lend a hand:

So, by now, we know you’re a true fan of kindness… you’re probably out there holding the door for people, picking up trash in the park and saying “please” and “thank you,” but this Saturday (Aug. 15) we are challenging you to do a little more. I appreciate the tought of kindness. I never get any type of appreciation from any one anymore. I am stuck in the house taking care of my sick Labrador Retriever. I'm sure that he appreciates me but no one else does.

So pleased that this is going on.. Need to see this happening in the jewel of the Sierra's-South Lake Tahoe..... How do we/I get into the loop? I do acts of kindness often- keeps my BP down, & puts a smile on my face, & on those who witness these acts of kindness, whether they are the recipient, or observing. WAYYY COOL STUFF!!! Blessings
